The CHIRAD Foundation is developing a masters degree in conjunction with a number of universities and the ICS SKILLS organisation, based in Ireland.

The Global Masters in Health Informatics will be offered as a mix of face to face and distance learning, which is now generally referred to as blended learning. Students will be able to select a pathway which suits their own learning preference and financial situation from a menu of Modules and Units.

Individual providers will set their own pricing for learning provision, and therefore there will be provision at different costs.

It is envisioned that students may attend high level conferences and modules in different venues (countries or different universities) as part of their learning experience. At other times they may be participating using Web 2.0 technologies or other distance learning methods.
